AMPBIO-ITO

The AMPBIO-ITO biosensor is a portable, low size and weight instrument for amperometric measurement of electrogenic biologic samples deposited on top of an Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) electrode.
The output current is read out by two electrodes: the ITO (coated on a glass substrate) and a (carbon) screen printed electrode (SPE).
This parameter can be correlated to the cell membrane potential.
In addition, environmental and agro-food applications common to all ELECTROCHEM-BIOSENS instruments are also suitable, as long as no supply voltage is required.
In the AMPBIO-ITO the working SPE is replaced by a special ITO electrode, on top of which cells can be directly cultured in a standard laboratory incubator.
The cell culture can be inspected under a standard optical microscope thanks to the ITO visible transparency.
Successively the substrate is inserted into the plug&play biosensor device.
The measurement chamber is accessible by a syringe/pipette for liquid addition through two fluidic connections on top of the lid; an o-ring ensures complete sealing.
Keyboard and display for measurement programming and USB connection for PC data transfer are provided.

An optical module for light excitation of samples can be mounted in the measurement cell in the AMPBIO ITO Light.
