BIOFREEZER
The Biofreezer is a portable system to grow and freeze a cell culture inside the OptiCell culture system.
The temperature control, microprocessor-based, is designed to provide a constant temperature of 37 C for cell growth by a heating plate and a cooling temperature down to -22 C (after 20 minutes), with a fast freezing performance (from room Temperature to -10 C in 4 minutes), by 4 Peltier elements.
The Peltiers are supplied by an optimized current-voltage combination to deliver the best performance in the smallest time with the lowest power consumption and self-heating.
The hot sides of the Peltier modules are in contact with 2 high performance heat exchangers (0.16 C/W thermal coefficient) equipped with 2 fans for a fast efficient heat dissipation in the cooling mode.
A thermometer is integrated to measure the temperature and control the set value with a real time feedback mechanism.
The system is equpped with a LCD display and keyboard.
