DOUBLEDET-SPE/FLUO description
DOUBLEDET-SPE/FLUO
The MULTIDETECTION-BIOSENS products are portable multi-purpose instruments suitable to be adopted as generic platforms for biosensors design and development, thanks to the flexibility and modularity of the design and the integration of the most commonly used and studied detection methods.
DOUBLEDET-SPE/FLUO combines the amperometric transduction, to measure an electrochemical current, with the optical one, to measure a fluorescence signal. This technology integration offers the possibility to monitor the biomediator properties mostly exploited in biosensoristic applications, the fluorescence emission and the internal electrical behaviour.
The availability of both the signals at the same time with the same biosample results in a more reliable and sensitive determination of the target analyte.
The MULTIDETECTION-BIOSENS systems are equipped with electronic control board for data read-out, processing and storage; keyboard and display to set-up the programmable parameters and a USB connection for PC data transfer.
A fluidic system provides automatic programmable liquid handling through the biologic flow cells.
An optional software for remote control, real time results display and data analysis is also available.
DOUBLEDET-SPE/FLUO features 2 automatic flow cells in which the liquid solution circulates at low speed (200-350µl/min) to avoid detachment or damage of the deposited biomaterial. The cells are equipped with an optical module for light excitation of photoactive biosamples and emitting fluorescence detection.
2 optic fibers in each cell provide lighting in different spectral ranges. The excitation wavelengths are configurable on demand upon order issue.
Programmable parameters: photoperiod function, flow speed, measurement cycle, number of cycles for automatic measurements; dynamic or static mode.

DOUBLEDET-SPE/FLUO applications
The flexibility and multifunction features of these instruments make this line suitable to a wide
range of applications ( environmental monitoring, agro-food applications ), in which the optical and electrical parameters need to be determined
singularly or contemporaneously.
