Biosensor was born in Palombara Sabina (Rome) in September 2003 from the cooperation of researchers, private investors and DAS Srl. Dr. Basile Giovanni is the managing director. Biosensor’s activity aims at supporting basic life sciences through advanced manufacturing and multidisciplinary competences, attracting new business and research opportunities. Biosensor provides expertise in design, prototype fabrication, calibration, testing and product engineering of miniaturized modular automated instruments for biotechnology, agrofood, environmental monitoring, biomedical application.
Technology transfer is a main activity, from research to market and between different application contexts (e.g. from Earth to Space and viceversa).

Biosensor participates to the main conferences, congresses and trade fairs presenting its products in suitable exhibition spaces.

Under Biosensor coordination took place in Rome on September 3-4 2009 the Kick off meeting of the BEEP-C-EN a FP7 European Project. The Partners Dropsens, Uniscan, CNR-IC, RIVNM, Universite of Perpignan and Vitens joined the first meeting.

SENSBIOSYN
The Kick off meeting of Sensbiosyn was held in Rome on July 27-28 2009 under Biosensor coordination together with all the Partners Algatechnologies, Aquamarijn research, Ben Gurion University, Nanosens, NIB and CNR-IC.
